2012 International Intern
June 18, 2012
Meet the 2012 AQHA International Intern and follow along as she travels the world educating horse fans about AQHA.
Hi, everyone!
My name is Keylee Sayler, and I am this year’s AQHA International Intern. I am from Casper, Wyoming, and have been blessed to have grown up riding horses. I have my associate’s degree in equine science from Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and I am currently a senior in agriculture business and equine industry at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. I have competed on multiple horse judging teams from FFA to the university level. I have also competed on the Ranch Horse Versatility teams at LCCC and WT.
This year, I am privileged to travel with four universities to Europe, where we will teach horsemanship camps in 10 different countries.
In Europe, I will first meet Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, whose line of travel will be:
- Norway
- Czech Republic
- Germany
The next university I will be traveling with is the University of Wyoming, which will go to:
- Denmark
- Sweden
- United Kingdom
- Ireland
After that, Sam Houston State University will be traveling to:
- Switzerland
- Germany
- Italy
Last, but definitely not least, will be the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, which will teach in:
- Austria
- Germany
- Slovenia
As you can see, AQHA has given me an amazing opportunity! I will be posting updates and pictures from the camps as often as possible so everyone can experience this adventure with me. I hope you’ll join me on my travels and keep up with us as we travel from country to country.
