The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum in Amarillo is hosting the America’s Horse in Art: The Horse That Settled the West show and sale, August 14-November 13, 2010.
The public is invited to view the art in the Scharbauer Gallery within the museum.
“We are fortunate to have such a talented group of western artists display their work for the third annual America’s Horse in Art Show and Sale,” said Don Treadway Jr., AQHA’s Executive Vice President. “The American Quarter Horse has long been a focus of western art, and we appreciate these great artists joining together to support the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum and help to protect the history of these amazing animals.”

Each piece of art – ranging from pencil drawings to sculptures – is available for purchase. Proceeds from the sale of the art go to the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame to support its efforts to preserve the history of the American Quarter Horse

These are wonderful pieces of art. Wish I had enough money to purchase one. As a former art major in college what I lack in talent I make up in a deep appreciation for those with real talent.

Enjoyed seeing a hunt seat horse in there ! The artwork is absolutely beautiful – I almost felt like I was in the field with the some of them ! The statues are gorgeous !

WONDERFULL WORK! I wish I had the money to buy one of these, Because all of my AQHA Q/H. Come form some of these great sires. The Artwork is absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing this.

Beautiful works of art and talent..I own a great granddaughter of Otoe,Sugar Bars.She is 27 years old and going well.One of the paintings looks just like her.The red horse standing in the snowstorm.I will have to purchase that one.ALL ARE FABULOUS to our awesome quarterhorses..Thank-you.

My husband Jerry & I got the wonderfull opportunity to meet Buck Taylor a few years back at the Reno Rodeo. We purchased a piece from him entitled “Call To Arms”. We both grew up on westerns and Buck Taylor in peticular. We have loved looking at the art for sale here.
