Catch the Challenge Championships October 31!
The excitement of the 2009 Bank of America Challenge Championships takes place Saturday, October 31, at Los Alamitos Race Course in Los Alamitos, California.
The Bank of America Racing Challenge is the richest and most successful program in American Quarter Horse racing today – a championship series developed for the “World’s Fastest Horse.”

The Bank of America Racing Challenge program provides more racing opportunities and bigger purses for older American Quarter Horses than any other program throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and South America.
Each horse that won a regional Bank of America Challenge final automatically received a berth in their respective division at the Bank of America Challenge Championships. Horses who finished second in a regional final may be eligible for the final should the winner not be able to participate. Horses that do not qualify for a Championship race may have preference to run in an undercard race on Bank of America Challenge Championship night.
The Bank of America Racing Challenge began in 1993 and since that time has distributed more than $52 million to breeders and owners of racing American Quarter Horses. This year is the 17th year of the program, with 71 regional, championship and undercard races. There is $5 million in total purses and awards for 2009, thanks to corporate partners, host tracks, horsemen and the Bank of America Racing Challenge Purse Fund.
While the Bank of America Racing Challenge was created to increase racing opportunities for older racing American Quarter Horses, the benefit of nominating is often seen in the sale ring where Challenge-enrolled horses have historically brought more money.
