The December issue of America’s Horse magazine featured the 2008 AQHA-Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association horses of the year. These horses are the top American Quarter Horses in rodeo’s six timed events, as voted on by the top 25 contestants in their respective events. The winners receive cash prizes and an AQHA bronze.

We thought it’d be fun for America’s Horse Daily readers to take a look at these top horses’ pedigrees – to see if they might own a relative. Don’t forget to visit www.aqhamembers.com to research your own horse’s ancestry.

A helpful note on reading pedigrees: The horses’ names are followed by an abbreviation for their color (“s” means “sorrel,” for example) and their year of birth.
