From 1983 to 1983 my dearly loved and respected quarter horse was registered with your association. His registered name was "Its in the Money", a.k.a. Waffles, with registeration number, 1533314, AQHA ID # 0205388 and tatoo number, 72051. I allowed Waffles's registration to lapse and he and I went on many trail rides and dressage shows. He was appreciated by many dressage judges because of his good behavior and beautiful free moving gaits. The judges were also European warmblood breeders (who were breeding to get some thing like Waffles' natural gaits) and they didn't know that his "Lazy A over Slash" brand was a Colorado brand. They guessed it was some kind of warmblood brand or just had no idea what it was.

His vet said that Waffles was a "good" boy. I say "was" because a year ago we lost Waffles to EPM. It was a nightmare for me, my husband and my vet, who, thank God, was not involved with his euthanasia. (Although he also did cry when I told him about Waffles' death.)

Waffles' sire was "Master It" and his dam was "Miss Green Money" bred by Larry and Janet McCoy of Grand Junction Co, foaled 4/15/79. I understand that Waffles was bred to race and he did on 10/10/81 for Cliff Davis in Sallisaw, OK. After his one race his ownership transfered to a Cliff Davis of Whitewater, Co.

Because Waffles was such a grand family member, we would like to obtain another horse with the same personality and disposition. (Yes, everyone tells us that this could be any breed.) But we figure another horse with similar ancestry would hopefully have a similar personality and disposition. Waffles was very calm and always "took care" of me.

I have searched the internet for "Its in the Money", "Master It" and "Miss Green Money" with no success. So I don't know where else to look.

It is my hope that the AQHA still has records of "Master It" and "Miss Green Money" or of the McCoys. We would so appreciate your help on this. We miss Waffles terribly.

Thank you so very much.

Sincerely,
Beth Reeves

You should make sure the link works before posting an article telling everyone it's free! The code does not work.

As member no. 306408 in the Australian QHA, I think something is wrong when I can't access the American Stud Book on computer, don't you? AQHA is AQHA, isn't it? So why is the smaller AQHA blocked out from American stud book access? What is America trying to hide? Or is it just a money-making scam? As if the AQHA here isn't making a mint out of me already, just so I can register horses! Jon
