“Green” Teens
August 23, 2010
How environmentally aware are you? If you’re between the ages of 13 and 17, we need your opinions in this survey!
The
Equine Land Conservation Resource is helping Marcella M. Reca, a graduate student at Northern Illinois University, distribute an online survey regarding the environmental literacy of equestrians ages 13 – 17.
The results of the study will provide information about the relationships adolescents have with horses and the outdoor environment, as well as add to the information known about the impact of equine activities on youth.
The survey results will be part of Marcella’s doctoral dissertation. There is a parental letter and consent that must be granted before kids can take the survey. The survey has been approved by the Northern Illinois University IRB Office of Research Compliance.
Please take a few minutes to participate in this survey. Marcella will share the results of her survey with ELCR and, in turn, ELCR plans to use that information to plan environmental education programs and materials.
