I live in northern Minnesota where it can get very cold. After a winter of breaking ice cube like water from leftover night watering, I discovered Birdbath heaters. These are 200 watt mini heaters for bird baths. They work so well for horse buckets. I use 5 gallon fortiflex buckets in stalls and the large rubber tubs in the horses in the arena. These birdbath heaters keep those tubs as well as the buckets ice free and kind of warm. They have a thermostat that switches off when it gets higher than 32 degrees and I have not found any difference in my electric bill during the winter. Yay, no more frozen buckets and happy horses!!!

Hello........My Miniature was drinking fine..(cold water) after he got his vaccinations he was not himself for several days...still eating well....but stopped drinking his water...he did have a stiff neck from the injections...but that went away in several days. I have given him electrolytes several times...no results to encourage drinking....apple juice....a lick or so.....warm water with oatmeal in it.........he loves it and drinks a gallon almost at one time.........what is wrong with him.......Thanks for any advice.
