I’m a handsome young ____________________, at the age of not quite 4 years old.  My owners have high hopes for me to live up to my sire and I hope every day that I do.

_________________________, or horse doctors, have checked me out and said I’m fit as a fiddle! My daddy was a champion western horse, they say I get my good looks from him. He competed all over the world and won many big shiny awards. I’ll win those someday too!

I’m working really hard every day to please my master in the show ring. He holds his ____________ in his steady hand to tell me where to go and teach me everything. He’s teaching me using a __________________________________, the kind they use for roping and reining and lots of fast-paced events.  Not like the _____________________________ they use for jumping events.  But to be a good horse, I have to learn things out of the show ring too! Like to stand still when the ___________________ puts new shoes on me and to be brave when my master’s kids try to spook me, they call that being ______________________.

At the end of a long day of hard work, I get to join the rest of the horses back at the barn. We’ll have __________________ for supper and then relax in our own _____________ until it’s time to go to work tomorrow!
