I have a gelding who seems to have red gums especially at the top of each tooth. If he were human it would look like gingivitis. didnt notice this few weeks ago. also horse has not wanted to bite into apples, carrots which are hard/ large with his front teeth- weird as nothing could have stopped him eating an apple a month ago. Havent noticed any other physical changes. We just moved to a new barn. There is a putried smell- like vomit/ stomach acid which comes from his auto waterer( lack of better words). Its horrible. The owners say its due to my horse dunking his hay in the water- water/ hay smell. I dont buy this. could something in his water give him mouth / gum sores?
thanks Pauleen
