Letters to Two Bits

April 9, 2010

Here’s your chance to send your message straight to Two Bits!

Two Bits

With everyone using e-mail and texting on their cell phones these days to communicate, Two Bits is a little afraid that writing a letter has become a lost art.

After reading about the Pony Express on America’s Horse Daily last week, he’s decided that he’d love to hear from some of you at home!

But first, let’s remember some of the basic steps to writing a letter!

  • Two Bits always begins with a salutation

A salutation is a greeting.  This usually starts with: Dear….

  • The Body of the letter is very important.

This is where you’ll get your message across.

  • A closing is where you wrap things up.

Many people will use: Sincerely, Your Friend or Love…

  • And, of course, last but not least is your signature.

In a personal letter or on greeting cards, this will often include only your first name.

Crazy about horses? Test your knowledge with AQHA’s Junior Master Horseman program. You can even earn certificates!

Now that you know all of the steps, use Two Bits’ Stationary, and write him a letter!

You can tell him something you know about Quarter Horses or something funny your horse did today or anything you would like Two Bits to know. You can even tell him something you would like to see Two Bits write about on America’s Horse Daily! After you finish your letter, fold it up and put it in an envelope. Then ask an adult to help you address and stamp the envelope so Two Bits is sure to get it!

Two Bits will be looking forward to hearing from you!
