I've been riding for over 35 yrs & teaching for more than 26 yrs. I've ridden english, dressage, western & even side saddle. The balance of the rider, not the style of the saddle is what matters! I do like my riders to start in the english saddle to develop that strong leg. I think it is important that all riders be open minded & willing to try new things.
