QuarterFest, Day 1!

QuarterFest’s first day had lots to offer. Check out the photo gallery!

MURFREESBORO, TENNESSEE - Friday, it rained at QuarterFest. But then, as all clinics were moved indoors and the show carried on, it poured. Knowledge, that is.
Clinics hit a variety of topics, including colt starting, trail trial obstacles, horse camping, ranch roping, common equitation problems and much more. Demonstrations illustrated the Quarter Horse’s versatility as a charro rope horse, a mounted shooting horse, a cow horse and the list goes on.
The Friday-night Extravaganza just took my breath away. From the hilarious Tommie Turvey to the incredibly moving tribute to wounded warriors … it’s well worth attending. QuarterFest goers have just one more chance Saturday night!
If you’re anywhere in the vicinity of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, come join us! You can buy general admission tickets to QuarterFest at the gate.
Check out the slideshow for more on what’s happening at QuarterFest. Click on the photos to see the descriptive captions.
Once you get to QuarterFest, enjoy our “spend-$50-get-free-Extravaganza-ticket offer.” It applies to ALL QuarterFest vendors! Yippie!!!

Great job on the slide show. We finally got our America’s Horse. I just got back from my folks late today so have not read it yet, only glanced at the photos.

That was fun to see since I can travel very far at the moment. At least I can see what is going on with the festivites.

my husband and I attended QuarterFest on Friday and it was AWESOME ! The AQHA staff worked so hard to adjust the schedules due to the rainy weather and it worked out really well. The clinicians and demonstrators were truly professional and did a wonderful job. I was very impressed ! The vendors were fantastic. The Extravaganza was amazing as well. Thanks to everyone involved again !

I had a great time at Quarterfest. This was my first ever event of this type, where I participated, and it was FANTASTIC! I went to learn everything i could in a short time about roping and came back with so much information! Curt Pate (sp?) was wonderful. I also had the opportunity to have a clinic with his wife Tammy. What a wonderful contribution those two made to this event.
Please have Quarterfest in M-Boro next year!

We had a great time at Quarterfest – and really enjoyed the roping clinic. I really appreciated the time the clinicians spent with those who participated (and even talking to those who weren’t!).

I thought that the Regional shows where to be want the Quarterfest is. AQHA could not put on a Regional show in their own backyard, but can do the Quarterfest. No wonder they are in trouble.
