Exhibitors enjoy competition and some parties as the Redbud Spectacular begins.

The Redbud Spectacular kicked off its  2010 run with more than 900 horses entered, according to show secretary Carol Moore, with more coming in every day.

The Oklahoma State Fairgrounds are home for the Redbud this year, with competition taking place in the Jim Norick Coliseum and the Performance Arena.

The Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association, which puts on the Redbud, sponsored a wine-and-cheese party for exhibitors. More parties are scheduled for later in the week.
