We have been in the breeding, training business for over 50 years.
We find that there is not another color that will take a shine like a bay horse will. That is....if you keep him out of the sun.

I also own a 24 year old bay gelding"Mr. Willie Brown". And he rings true to the gentle, steady and durable horse. I couldn't have asked for more. It is very tempting to want to always pick him as my ride for the day. All I can say for bay horses is they have really big hearts and they are very beautiful! I love my boy! Thank you for the article.

My 21 year old mare "Georgia Little Too" is a classic bay with only about a dozen white hairs in a star. I love her, she is the best and helped me win my first team sorting buckle! There is something about a well conformed classic bay with little to no white that always catches my eye! Great article!

The Shine by the Bay article was very informative. I was pleasantly surprised to read the Color Facts and Color legend that identified bays as gentle, steady and durable horses. You could not have described my 4 year old Bay Mare any better. Thanks!
