Maybe you don’t see the “Rope ‘em Choke ‘em” method anywhere anymore because people have found a better way… try it, if you are good enough to work with a horse…
And if you still want to try the “Rope ‘em Choke ‘em” method – I’ve got a Thoroughbred horse here who would LOVE for you to use it on him (just be sure your Life Ins. is paid up – and I am the beneficiary).

Where are all the cowboy horse trainers who use the rope then choke to teach the horse to come off pressure? I don’t see any trainer advertizing the ropem-chokem-yankem method. You know, practice roping then choke the horse like a dog. While yanking the horse off his/her front end. No commands or praising. Isn’t that the best way to teach a horse to come off pressure? Or slow down? Ropem and chokem style. Rope, choke and yank will teachem fast too! Where is all the rodeo style ropem, chokem, yankem, spur raking horse training info? I can’t find it on the web but the rodeoers do it. Why is it not listed anywhere on the web? Yeehaw!
