In my many years of being a student of horsemanship and breeding I have learned that a very few of us are knowledgeable enough to breed responsabilly. Not just for color or what is on the papers but what features would be desireable to re-create. I have heard the comment "oh well, she is crazy and I can't ride her so I may as well breed her and make money on the foal. Sadly they don't think - why can't she be ridden, is it a training issue, a structural issue which is causing pain or does the horse recognize the lack of confidence of the handler. At any rate many times we end up with abandonment, starvation and abuse issues both for momma and foal. Thanks A.Q.H.A. for keeping the topic of breeding for quality and not quantity in the public eye. God Bless you. Judy Gibney at County Line Equestrian and also A.Q.H.A. Professional Horseman.

I think this is a great picture everyone should have. not even when buying but to just glance at every horse you come around. If everyone learned the correction of the horse and looked past that stallions beautifull spalshy color right down to his short stumpy body with his thick neck and pigeon toes we all might fix our horses future yet. Its kinda like hypp. who wants a congenital diseased horse anyways? when we know we as humans who can control something like this can prevent it or help it, should have been!!. Dont breed just to breed becuase thats alot of the sourse with body and skeletal. breed for a reason! for i know this will startle you but... BREED TO BETTER THE BREED! We are the people who love the AQH. well? Why did you breed Horse (B) and (C) together then? i think its time to geld stumpy and rip up Olenas Impressive Zips papers and sell her as a 4-H horse or give her to camp for cheap. I know its a lose to you but a gain to some child and a savor to the horse population we just dont need! hypp h/h oo good one and the sad part is we as the people are only making it worse. where is our foundation?? i dont recall a single unabled usless horse back when the Billy QH was the breed to breed. now look what we have? yuck. like the bear says.. " only you can prevent forest fires". So dont just stop at training your eyes.
